Faye of the Caribbean

Hey everyone,

So I think I mentioned in the last post that the month of May for me has quite a few birthdays, one of them happen to be a fancy dress party. I was so excited because I’ve always imagined how fantastic it would be, especially if everyone made an effort. With that in mind whenever I had a spare moment (which wasn’t that often) I searched the internet, for something nice but not too costly.

So here I am ‘Faye Sparrow’ lol, the only thing I actually brought from the costume shop for this piece was the hat (which come with the hair btw). The skirt was from a charity shop which I cut up and customized myself. And the cardigan thingy was something I brought for my own personal spring/summer wardrobe. I decided to wear military boots because wearing shag boots all night, then complaining my feet hurt - I don't think so!
Me trying to be cool, not quite pulling off though lol

The actually night was really cool everybody really did make the effort and there was even a photographer kicking around so we could have mini photo shoots.

Doing the High School Musical jump (^_^)d

Oh they was one more that i purchased in the costume shop that I didn't wear on the night but i had to have it, because it made me smile. I love scaring my little cousins and nephews with this mwhahaha!

hahaha always puts a smile on my face

Hope youl all have a great bank holiday weekend :)

Little Black Cloud

Morning everyone,

You ever had one of those day were it feels like a black cloud is following you? I have, in fact have been having them a lot recently. yesterday just happened to be one of them. But I did to keep my composure (most of the time) and get on with what needed to be done. So every time something happen I’d write a word or short sentence as a draft text message. Although I’m not explaining a lot I think you can get a good idea of how my day went.

"Early start. Annoying hair. Dentist! Running late. Wrong weather predictions. Sweaty. Family issues. Stressful work. Period! No time for lunch. Friend got attacked. Forgot to send rejection email. Spilled yogurt down yourself. Left alone. Working late. Walking home. Favorite headphones broken. Late night phone calls. Feeling guilty. Can’t sleep."

So yeah…that was my day!

I hope you all had and are having a good day though. Reading it back its quite funny, but I know yesterday I was SO not laughing.

Rock Band

Hey everyone,

Hope you all have been well. So it’s been I think about a week or two since my last post (well not really, but i mean a post that is up to date and not just me back tracking), but I’ve have been so busy! It’s been insane lately my eyes are like burning with tiredness. But for it’s that time of year when its everybody’s birthday, plus it has been really busy at work and I had a few extra things going on the month. So I’ll you guys a bit about it.

Work: Its busy and I occasionally have to do overtime and stay a bit later, that’s it in a nutshell to be honest

Extra: My number was passed to a music producer who want to start an all female black rock band. To be honest I always thought I weren’t good enough to be in a band, and happy to just play to myself in my room. But this time I thought I’d give it shot, meet the guy and one of the members of the band to discuss things. I was so nervous, but I think I was alright and I played it cool. They invited me to do a informal audition, so I had a week to learn two of their songs. It’s been a few days now and after much thought I decided not to take this any further. After reflecting over and over again I believe that particular wasn’t for me, it just didn’t feel right. But I have definitely opened up to the idea of joining a band and playing to people instead of just myself. But it was a great experience meeting/talking music producers and people who are in a band, so I’m feeling very positive about it all.

I keep changing the name of my Bass, so we'll call it 'unknown' for now
I have some other things to share but I haven’t quite got the pictures and things sorted, so I’ll try and do that in the next post.

Until then take care x

Plan: Park

Hey everyone,

Hows it going? Hehe
Hmmm… so what been going on with me lately… well here in the UK our good fortune has continued with the weather (give or take a rainy spell or two and crazy wind), so lots of smiles from me.

I also tried something new, I decided to organize a Family Sports/Picnic Day in honor of Grandma. I’ve never really organized that many people together before, so worked really hard to make sure everything went smoothly, and to my surprise everybody turned up with loads of food, music and sport equipment – much more then we needed. It was so nice to spend ‘fun time’ with uncles/aunties/cousins/friends, just everyone! My family are super competitive so everyone really got into it, even the little kiddies and random people we didn’t even know. Grandma joined in for Rounder’s *she is so cute when she’s running* and when her team was losing she moaned that we we’re cheats lol – like I said very competitive family :D It was such a success I’ve been asked to organize monthly family park activities over the summer.

Giant game of Rounders :)

The Park we went to was beautiful, lots to do and plenty of wildlife (ducks, swans and pony rides etc) haven’t been there since I was a kid ahhh the memories :)

Look how close I got to this squirrel

I couldn't quite get the little baby duck in the picture, it kept moving

This was taken just by the pond/lake area so beautiful, relaxing and kind of romantic too *sigh* I can just picture it now, looking into each others eyes, leaning in for that magical kiss...oh well a girl can dream (T_T)

Definitely have to remember this spot ;)

Well I hope you guys enjoyed this post, We actually went to park about two weekends ago, I just didn't get round to posting this up.

Hope your having a good day.

Ghost Walk Pub Grub

Hey Guys,

This is kind of a follow up from the last post as that was more a rant then what is going on with me. So after work we 'team outing', which is basically a social night for our department paid for by the company. So you'd think 'ah yeah that really cool, maybe we could do bowling or mini golf...' you know something fun. Nope for some reason someone suggested a Ghost Walk around St Paul's and we did that instead *kmt* and to make it worst it was in the daytime. As you have guess I wasn't really into it but after a while it wasn't bad. The guild started walking us around the cathedrals, churches and old graveyards, telling about the history and rumours of ghostly activities that people believe. It was really nice to see these hidden treasures, because whenever I've been to St Paul's I only really stick to the main area. But you down the back streets there are still old buildings there that survived the Great Fire of London 1666. After the walk we had dinner at a 'hunted' pub *mwhahaha* Williamsons Tavern Pub, which its ok, but by the time we got there the kitchen was closing so options on the menu were limited. But here it is my Ghost Pub Grab of Salmon en Croute.
And case your wondering, yes it was dry

Hope your having a nice weekend.

Threading Nice, Bumps Bad

Hi All,

Hmm… today…yes…today, today. I’m feeling a bit ‘meh’ today, don’t worry nothing is wrong it’s just…last weekend the sun was shining, the birds were singing an all was cool. I decided to do some shopping to look for something to wear for a upcoming fancy dress party. Then I came across a little booth where these ladies were doing treading and I thought ’Go on treat yourself Faye, you are starting to look like Wolverine these days, so you deserve this’. So I did, it wasn’t too bad, it was quick and it looked great, for the whole weekend I felt good. Then on the third day my eyebrows started tingling then burning and the next morning woke up with nasty white bumps all around my eyebrows *ewww*. I’ve been trying to use my fringe/bangs to cover it up, but I’m sure I’m making it worst. Which is making me stress, which is making breakout more *ahhhh*. It’s so annoying this happened the first time I tried treading, but I just put it down to the cleanser I was using. But maybe it just not for me, such a shame because it looking so good at first and after the swelling goes down. Ah who I’m I kidding I’m probably still do it again though, just make sure I bury myself under the sheet whist I go through the ‘ugly’ spell.
After some research I discovered that this is actually a common problem, which sometimes can to solved by moisturising your eyebrows. Yeah, I thought it was strange at first too -  The skin under and around your eyebrows and can come up in those horrible bumps when dry and irritated. Also when you do get your eyebrows done cleanse, cleanse, cleanse especially if you have oily skin and try to avoid touching the area with unclean hands. Another reason you could possible get the bumps is a reaction to the healing gel the beautician puts on when they finished.

UPDATE: keeping the area clean and moisturised has worked wonders I rarely get bumps now and the whole skin around it looks much healthier, so I don't feel the need to cover up anymore.

Sorry guys that was quite a long post about my threading hang ups, how boring this must be? So I’ll stop right here.

Hope all is well everyone. Do you guys suffer from bumps too?
