Ughh! What's On Your Face?

Hi everyone,

I've been quite fortunate over the past few years to have clear skin, not that I did anything special. I'd often try different products not because I needed too but to see what works for me and how it feels. But it wasn't always this way, my teens was a constant battle with these disgusting spots coming out of my face. Now for some reason there are back! Least to say I ain't having it.
Memories of my youth came flooding back, when just touching my forehead feels like I'm rubbing up a kebab. Yet parts of my face (mainly my cheeks) are crazy dry? Now I certainly do not claim to a beauty guru or any of the jazz, I'm just a normal girl with for now a spotty oily/dry face.

I rarely rave a products but this one is so lovely I'm going to. Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser has been an absolute life saviour, I love this product!

The formula leverages Skin Purifying Technology that addresses the needs of combination skin, whilst providing an all-over clean without stripping skin's natural moisture. Personally I really like the soft thick texture. After application there is no stickiness or oily residue, my skin feels soft and hydrated.
Also, application is so easy...

On a clean wet face, pump the cleanser into hands and work into a form. Rinse thoroughly.

The result?

Instantly rejuvenated, hydrated skin

Hope you guys find this helpful. Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser can be find at Superdrug and selected departmental stores and major hypermarkets, for about £4 - Bargain! ;)

Take care!

Up Yours Cancer

Hey everyone,
The gloves are off baby
So following from my previous post of cleaning up my health and doing things that make me happy, I have signed up for Cancer Research UK - 'Race for Life'. I think everyone has been affected by cancer in form or another, whether you know someone who have passed away battling it, those going through it now or whatever the case maybe. Its horrible that cancer has become so common and affected so many - from Grandparents to young children. According to Cancer Research in 2010 324,579 people in the UK were diagnosed with cancer.

I get quite upset when I think about it sometimes, but I feel strengthen when I think of all the amazing people supporting, trying to comfort those going through difficult times and knowing that everyone is fighting for a cure.

For these who don't know Race for Life is a women-only fundraising event, its not an intense race, there are no winners and people of all ages can take part. I have done the race before (about two years ago) but I really want to up my game, raise as much as I can and if possible run the whole 5k race. So I've got me pack and I'm ready to go!

Plus Kyz is loving that we're running together more, look how cute and smiley he is :3
Whether your taking part or not it would be fantastic if you could donate, to do so please use the official site >>>> http://www.cancerresearchuk.org

Are you guys joining the race too?

You Do What You Are

Hi everyone,

I know it’s a funny title but there is reason. Basically there other day I was lazing around watching the film ‘Along Came a Spider’ on the television. And Morgan Freeman’s character comes on and says ‘you are what you do’. This got me thinking... that is kind of true. If you are lazy and disorganized; you choose to do that and that in turn is what you are. If you are hard working, honest and reliable although you may not be able to show this in title no one can take that away from you, because that is what you are.
Yeah, it was a scarf turban day - its a good way to hide messy hair
So we're in the spring months now and occasionally we get that glimpse of sunshine, which is brilliant as its been a long winter. So to prepare for the summer and to refresh, I've decided its time to clean up. But I'm talking your bedroom/home (although mine could really do with a tidy up), I'm talking about life.
A few pictures from the park and the first flower in  my garden :)
Targets:

1. Body: I'm not particularly unhealthy or overweight but I could certainly tone and sort out my diet.

2. Mind: This past few months has been intensely stressful for me a lot has been going on in a short space of time. I learned to accept things that I have no control over and think its time focus on what right for me and the things that make me happy.

3. Friends and Family: I take full responsibility for the piss poor effort I have put in. These guys are so amazing and even though I don't see them often they still understand and love me.

To make sure I stay on track I am going to post a check in exactly one month from now. As usual tips, tracks and cool bits will be shared.

Body is up first, so pouch be gone!

Washed up

Hi everyone!

I'M BACK!!! I know it’s been forever, I’m like one step away from having my face on the side of a milk bottle. Please accept my sincerest apologies guys. (For those who don’t want to hear the miserable and depressing back story skip pass the below paragraph). Yeah, I thought it was about time, what do think of the new layout, hope you like it. I had fun making it, so further additions will come soon. *Oh yeah !*(^_ -) d

Well from the last post I did in April quite a lot of sad emotional things have been happening in my life and although blogging makes me happy, I felt I just couldn’t face it. *Don’t worry I’m not trying to bring out the violin or anything lol*. I didn’t want to leave a negative impression on you guys, so taking a break, rebuilding my confidence and healing my pain seemed like the right thing to do. I hope you understand and I hope I haven’t offended or upset anyone, I really didn’t mean to.

********************
Anyhoo enough talking about what has past, time to find my feet and get back on track.

So how’s it going? What have you guys been up too?

Can you believe this is summer? First peeing it down with rain and this week beautiful hot sunshine, *I love it* the sun just makes you want to be outside, getting involved and having fun. I really want to get things going this summer, but i'll keep you all update on what I do and what events are going on. A lot of the time the weather is used as an excuse to stay in, not see your friends or to just be unhappy *I am so guilty of this – big time*, but really the only one missing out is yourself. End of the day time has not stopped, you’ve just missed out on a whole day/week  - stupid! :P

For no reason at all a pic of Kyz :)
These days I’m inspired to get more into photography and really get the most out my pictures. I really want to learn about angles, various camera settings, lighting and editing, so come rain or shine I will improve! I might even take a course *yes another one*, I can’t help it I just have a hunger to learn. – if only Mrs. Marley could hear me now, she’d be so proud :D

Ok I’m totally waffling now, I’ll wrap this post up. But it feels so good to be writing again and thank you to everyone for your love and support.

Take Care

Bald Panda

Hey everyone,

Hope your all well.

The other day I thought today is the day I’m going to clear out my wardrobe, as annoying as it is we all got to do it so why not now right? So in I go, digging and pulling out clothes that to be honest haven’t seen the light of day in ages. And before I know it my room is a mess I can’t see my floor or bed just these colourful mountains of clothes and I’m less then half way in the wardrobe.

…Hmm I’m bored now and hungry... and look the girls  have invited me to dinner I can’t let them down right? …yeah these excuses went on for days and I still haven’t finished, some things are hiding in suitcases *shh…* lol :D

But its got to done, I have learned one good tip though BE HARSH, ask yourself when am I going to wear this? And when was the last time I worn it?

So I eventually got things in a decent order and its already getting messy again! Sigh…What was the point?
Look how happy I am with Panda Paul
I found these cute panda mittens though I wore them straight away

Get It Sorted

Hey everyone,

How’s your New Years been so far?

These past few days of 2012 I’ve been feeling a bit poo, my foot is healing up nicely and I can walk fine without too much discomfort as long as I don’t bang it. But seriously, I wanted to slap this old lady on the bus with her annoying shopping trolley, oh the pain! My poor foot! (T_T)

Anyhoo since it is the new year I’m in that reflective mode, you know where you start thinking of how you could become a better person, getting yourself back on track and looking towards the future. I’m quite excited about this year, building new memories with loved one and friends, meeting new people and hopefully *fingers crossed* travelling (even if it is a few days) :3

So ready for 2012!
I never used to bother with resolutions… well I did... but I could never remember them by the time spring came around lol. So this year I’m going to keep it simple with ‘life resolutions’, things that are ongoing even after the year ends.

Patience
This is a big one me, I feel like I can be a bit impatient sometimes and I feel if I were more patient it would pay off. Like they say patience is a virtue.

Draw/Paint more
I’m a creative person and drawing makes me happy, its my release  - why am I not doing this more?!

I always find myself drawing the cliffs,  yet i've never been... weird :S
Pray
I think last year I got a bit disconnected, so this year and for years to come I’d like to have a better relationship with God

So what’s your New Year’s resolution?

Big Hills

Hey Everyone,

Hope all is well. So what going on with me… well as mentioned in the last post I went to Glasgow over the weekend for work. It was quite cool, I went with Helen, she’s super nice so that was good. The train for Glasgow left at 06:00 which meant the taxi came to get me from home at 05:00! *Ahhh way too early* . Have you ever been so tired your eyes burn? – well that was me! But I’m one of those people who find it really hard to fall asleep on transport so I spent the majority of the journey looking out the window and occasionally reading gossip magazines.

these were my supplies to keep me alive on the train

train view, it like a breath of fresh air
The view throughout the journey was so beautiful there were loads of these massive hills/mountains, it must be amazing standing on top of them looking down and seeing for miles. When we got there the street were closed off for the Orange Walk. The crowds gathered on the pavement to see the flags and marching band. Apparently the Orange Walk is originally an Irish thing but for some reason they do it Scotland too :S Oh well it was colorful to look at.
aren't the uniforms cute :)
Glasgow itself was quite nice although it seemed a bit sleepy, like there didn’t seem to be a lot of people about. But to be fair that’s probably because I’m used to the busy streets of London.

look how empty the streets are - and this is Glasgow City Centre :S
The hotel was also quite, I stayed in place called Ibis. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it was funny because they knew straight away we we’re from out of town so they talking to us in a English accent and then they would turn around and be talking in a thick Scottish accent. They switched it on and off so easily, I wish I could do that…well I’d have to be fluent in another language first.

this was my room, it was really cute plus I had a cool view out the window
Food-wise I didn’t try anything exciting because I just didn’t have the time and I was SO sleepy, my dinner was late night pepperoni stuffed crusted pizza (from the Hotel) *Mmm so good*. Then blah, blah, blah work - won't bore you with that... and sleep!

Overall my visit was quite nice but  if I do come back I’ll definitely have to bring some friends to make some noise cause it was a bit quiet, or who knows maybe I caught them on a ‘off day’. Time to go back to good old London.

bye-bye sleepy Glasgow
Train time!
The long journey back
Ermm… what else? Oh yeah back in London I decided to have a chill day on Monday and Tuesday so I caught up on some zzzz’s and had a nice lunch with a friend (yes, this is the friend who upset me the other day – we decided to make peace). I really must spend some time with my other friends though, I feel like I’m neglecting them especially Heather, Jes and Caroline :(
